CTN Annual Scientific Meeting: October 21-23, 2024 – Poster submissions open!

The National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) will hold its Annual Scientific Meeting celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the CTN on Monday-Wednesday, October 21-23, 2024. 

The meeting will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.

Registration and hotel information coming soon — on or before the week of July 29.

Poster session information

Sharing of the results, experiences, techniques, and observations from performing our trials is a critical and exciting part of the CTN experience. To that end, CTN members are encouraged to submit posters for display at the 2024 CTN Annual Scientific Meeting Poster Session celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the CTN to be held on Monday, October 21, 2024. Poster submissions should be relatable to the CTN either directly (i.e. reporting on CTN studies, data, etc.) or indirectly (i.e. information that informs potential future CTN projects). As in previous years, we will consider new posters as well as posters that were presented at meetings over the past year.

Time: 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. ET (exact times subject to change)

Guidelines:

  • Proposals for new posters should include the title, author list, and brief abstract.
  • Proposals for previously presented posters should include the title, author list, name/date of the previous meeting, and an electronic copy of the poster.
  • Preference for proposals that indicate that one or more authors will be available to stand with the poster for an hour during the poster session. 
  • Presenters are responsible for bringing the poster for display.  LMCi will provide 4’h x 6’w posterboards along with pushpins and Velcro.
  • The deadline for submissions is September 12, 2024.

In-person poster presenters will be provided with information on local poster printing options or shipping items directly to the hotel.

Virtual Poster Display

We will also post electronic copies of the posters on the meeting website. This will allow those not available for the in-person poster session to share their work. Please indicate on the submission form whether you are submitting the poster for virtual display only. In addition to the poster title, author name(s), and abstract, we will make the entire poster available as a PDF file for downloading. We plan to share all accepted posters on the meeting website unless directed otherwise. Sharing posters virtually will not include an opportunity for poster presenters to interact directly with viewers, and we are unable to display the files electronically at the meeting site.
