Dr. Crump reviewed a range of different types of NIDA awards, including R, T, and K awards, HEAL Initiative awards, and unique programs like NIDA’s Loan Repayment Program, which helps early career investigators, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, repay their student loans. She also demonstrated how to use the NIH RePORTER to find information about active awards and talked about NIH’s ongoing commitment to diversity and dedication to supporting early career investigators and other scientists from a range of backgrounds and specialties.
