This 90-minute symposium, produced by the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Clinical Coordinating Center for CTN members and the public, discusses mood and anxiety disorders which are common among individuals with substance use disorders. The webinar will discuss the relationships between mood/anxiety and substance use disorders, the effects of these co-occurring disorders on clients and family, and clinical strategies to aid recovery. Psychosocial, medication and combined treatment approaches will be reviewed. Some of the more common clinical issues in recovery for clients with these co-occurring disorders will also be reviewed.
This webinar is intended for CTN members and the public, especially experienced research counselors and staff.
