CTN webinar: Clinical interviewing guidelines.

This two-hour webinar, produced by the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Clinical Coordinating Center for CTN members and the public, provides clinical interviewing guidelines for research staff who conduct structured and semi-structured interviews in the CTN. Topics include general interviewing guidelines (building rapport, e.g.), issues related to interviewing participants with substance abuse problems (maintaining confidentiality, ensuring interviewer safety, e.g.), and specific procedures and techniques for administering assessments often used in the CTN.

The target audience is novice CTN members and other researchers and clinicians involved in substance abuse research.
