CTN webinar: Concepts of CBT and strengths-based approaches to addiction and mental health research and treatment and a mindfulness approach to substance abuse disorders.
In the CTN, investigators and research staff engage in the conduct of studies and treatment for patients dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. There are a number of interventions and approaches used for relapse prevention and recovery, including coaching and counseling for lifestyle and behavioral modifications. This one-hour webinar, presented by Suzette Glasner-Edwards, PhD, and Albert Hasson, MSW, discussed CBT and strengths-based approaches as interventions to prevent relapse and sustain recovery in treatment and research settings.
