CTN webinar: Helping patients with substance use disorders and pain.

This 90 minute webinar, produced by the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Clinical Coordinating Center for CTN members and the public, features a discussion related to assisting patients with co-morbid pain and substance use disorders. Pain is a common complaint among individuals in treatment for substance use disorders. As such, it challenges the treatment team to consider numerous issues, including: assessing and evaluating pain, managing the pain during treatment, and incorporating pain-related issues as part of substance use disorder treatment.

This webinar is intended for CTN members and the public, especially research professionals interested in learning how to address pain-related issues as part of substance use disorder treatment.

Presented by Jennifer Sharpe Potter, PhD, MPH, (University of Texas Health Science Center, TX Node) and Roger Weiss, MD (McLean Hospital, Harvard, NEC Node).
