Share Your Impact Story at the next D&I Conference (Dec 14-17, 2025) – Deadline to submit is June 15!
The 18th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination & Implementation (D&I) in Health planning committee is excited to announce a special call for stories describing how D&I science led to measurable and sustained health benefits, service delivery improvements, economic reforms, or policy change. The “D&I Impact Stories at Work” plenary session provides a space to share these stories in a lightning-round panel session, followed by a moderated discussion. Respond to this call today for the opportunity to share a success story in front of an engaged network of D&I Science professionals this December! The deadline for submissions for this plenary session is June 15, 2025 (5pm ET). (Note that this is separate from the Science of D&I Conference call for abstracts.) New SAMHSA Award for Dissemination & Implementation Center (Western States Node)
Mark McGovern, PhD, of the CTN Western States Node, and his Dissemination and Implementation Center at Stanford recently received a new SAMHSA grant: POPULATION HEALTH: New Tools and Resources for Improving CareThe Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has launched the Center for Mental Health Implementation Support (CMHIS) to help providers implement effective, high-quality mental health services. Housed at the Stanford Center for Dissemination and Implementation, the center has partnered with five biregional hubs to identify and develop resources and support organizations to prepare for, implement, and sustain effective mental health programs and practices. CMHIS offers support in measuring patient progress over time, using data to improve service delivery, marketing programs and services, and much more. Congratulations to Dr. McGovern and the CDI! After 11 years as NorthStar node coordinator, Nate Tessum has moved to a new career opportunity at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Prenatal Action for Taking Healthy Steps (PATHS) Toolkit: Spanish Materials Now Available!
The Prenatal Action for Taking Healthy Steps (PATHS) toolkit, developed out of protocol CTN-0080-A3 (led by the Ohio Valley Node), offers evidence-based educational resources about the use of medication to treat opioid use disorder (OUD) during and after pregnancy. The collection of resources was already available in two formats: one for general English speakers and another version adapted to be culturally and linguistically appropriate for American Indians & Alaska Natives.
