Fellowship in Addiction Dissemination & Implementation Science – Deadline extended to APRIL 15!
Applications are now being accepted for the 2025–2026 Center for Dissemination and Implementation At Stanford (C-DIAS) Fellowship in Addiction Dissemination & Implementation (D&I) Science. The C-DIAS Fellowship in Addiction Dissemination & Implementation (D&I) Science is for early or mid-career individuals with goals to improve public access to and quality of addiction treatment by leveraging advanced implementation science methods. Submit your application by April 15th, 2025. This year-long mentored learning experience: Activities include monthly, virtual, hour-long lectures; participation in the C-DIAS Research Core sections activities; C-DIAS Virtual Grand Rounds; individualized mentoring; lead authorship opportunities; and support developing an NIH grant application or proposal to solve a health systems problem. The C-DIAS Fellowship is eligible for CME/CE credits. C-DIAS Fellows join an expanding network of individuals engaged in addiction treatment health services and implementation research, all committed to real-world impact. NIDA CCTN Seeking Health Scientist Administrator (Program Officer)
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Center for the Clinical Trials Network (CCTN) is seeking candidates for a Health Scientist Administrator (Program Officer GS-12/13/14) position. The health scientist administrator will provide scientific leadership and collaborate with NIDA Clinical Trials Network (CTN) investigators in the conception, design, development, conduct, and monitoring of clinical trials and other research studies, as well as provide guidance and assistance in the dissemination of research findings. Desired qualifications of candidates include expertise in behavioral, pharmacological, or integrated therapies for substance use/substance use disorders (SUDs), experience in the management of clinical trials, and expertise in implementation science. Expertise in increasing access to SUD medication treatment through collaboration with health systems and pharmacies, expertise in Stimulant Use Disorder treatment, and expertise in treatment of SUDs in youth are of particular interest. Experience as an NIH Program Officer or contracting officer’s representative (COR) with HHS/NIH COR Level III certification is also desired but not required. Essential skills include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups of researchers and community partners, and demonstrated scientific leadership and management skills. Job posting: NIDA Program Official/Program Specialist and Two Contractor Positions
February 13, 2023 NIDA is hiring for this new program, named American Indian and Alaska Native Collective Research Effort to Enhance Wellness Program (AIAN CREW). In brief, the NIH HEAL Initiative is funding a program to support Tribes and American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) serving organizations and communities to respond to the opioid/drug overdose crisis by establishing or expanding research infrastructure and capacity for Tribal research entities to conduct research related to all facets of the opioid/overdose crisis, including substance misuse, mental health related factors, and the management of pain. It will address data insufficiencies by providing support to improve data and surveillance of factors that contribute to the opioid/drug overdose crisis at the local level (including local data and connections to state, regional and national data. Increasing research capacity will include supporting the conduct of Tribally or community prioritized research. There will also be funding for technical assistance and provide support for the development of any needed partnerships to achieve all program goals.
